Ok so, Don Suenos gave Charlie Sheen a piece of their brand to promote it. Sounds funny, right? Charlie Sheen? But this añejo is actually legit and very solid! They claim to use an old Don Julio recipe, dont know about that, but its pretty damn good. Warm agave, nutmeg, nutty, cinnamon, butterscotch, slight hint of smoke, tobacco, etc... Great price point too!

Aroma : Light agave with butterscotch, caramel, oak, honey and vanilla. Taste : Notes carry over here from the aroma, but with an extra nutty character, with some almond and cashew tones. There isn't as much sweetness here as in the Reposado. Finish : Medium in length with a little more barrel influence with oak and cinnamon.

The nose is cooked agave, whiskey, a little butterscotch smidge of vanilla and alcohol. The flavor wasn’t particularly striking for cooked agave on the front end followed quickly with alcohol little bit of butter scotch and the finish was black pepper and whiskey. Nice finish duration but then hung on a little too long with whiskey aftertaste long. overall a better than average anejo.

This anejo is a really good sipper with notes of light spice, light pine, caramel, creamy vanilla, touch of cinnamon, honey and mild chocolate. It has it a light whiskey/bourbon sweetness. and honey. This is not an after-dinner type heavy anejo. NOSE- mild and balanced, light butterscotch, caramel, light smoke, fruit, honey, sweet agave and whiskey/bourbon aromas with a pinch of pine spice and light vanilla cream. TASTE- sweet agave and whiskey notes, with slight roasted nuts, honey, light caramel, creamy and silky smooth. A delicious and light, balanced additive-free treat at a great price.

Tasted blind against 3 Amigos Añejo also from NOM 1499. Slightly sweeter this has a little less bite and spice than the 3A.
