I get the sweet agave nectar flavor but also a weird chemical-like layer on the back end. Aside from the sweetness it is fairly simple.

Mexican 40% abv. versión, lote: SAG5AB006F17, bottled on 11-07-2017, tasted on 3-27-24. Aroma: raw agave with light sweetness, slightly citrus, mineral, citrus, lemon peel. Citrus & bitter. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, starts off quite sweet and balances out, sensation like a grapefruit - sweet sour and citrus, the sweetness doesn’t feel natural, because it’s too sweet. Citrus note through my retronasal. Finish is medium, hint of raw agave with a light sensation of a mix of sweet sour and citrus, although the sweetness is slightly cloying at the end.

Super sweet but smooth and cheap! Good frozen with fresh lime juice to tone down the sugar.

Chemical/medicinal taste, but light and enjoyed the sweet flavor up front. Better used in a cocktail than a sipping tequila.
