Aroma: very heavy on the bourbon influence. I also get a lot of cherry, cream soda, and vanilla. Flavor: very tame compared to the aroma, not a whole lot going on. There’s a hint of agave sweetness. Some of that bourbon influence appears. There is a slight vegetal undertone. Overall it’s good if a lot of flavor though. Finish: short with a solid burn in my throat and chest. Not something I really enjoyed. There isn’t a balance of agave and barrel that I typically like to see in a reposado. I feel like the barrel adds way too much aroma while not really lending any enjoyable flavor. Considering this is aged in ex cognac and ex bourbon for 7 months, I’d expect a lot more flavor from both barrels.

Overly sweet to me, not enough agave. Loads of oak, caramel and vanilla on the front end. Slight bit of citrus and a little medicinal.

Well made, delicious repo, mellow and smooth. Vanilla and light oak.

Light amber color in the glass. Aroma of oak, cooked agave and orange. Flavor of agave, cinnamon and oak. Medium finish.

Sips very nicely. surprised it seems better than the ratings.

I don’t know what it is about this tequila maybe I’m looking for something not there but this is a great one. There are probably additives and other things but this is a tequila I can sip and drink anytime. Sorry but not sorry.

Thin on the palate. It doesn’t stand out at price range and profile.

Virgin oak, they have there own cooperage on site and with virgin oak you get more of that oak influence but it’s softer then some new char barrels . Still missing something but decent repo

Oak front with a true Reposado taste. Very smooth finish

Sharp alcohol on the nose which gives way to smooth honey on the tongue (reminiscent of Glen Livet for the Scotchers out there). Finish is pleasing and numbs the tongue some. As scotch as any tequila I’ve had. Only very faint agave.

Very smooth with subtle flavors.

Good value, I find it tastes better over ice. Good sipper.

Balanced smell of fruit and barrel. Smooth taste with a little heat in back and finish. But hits in a good way

NOSE: Agave, light vanilla, subtle mint & grassyness, along with woodsy oakiness. MOUTH: Sweet agave, vegetal minerality, good mouth feel, subtle oak, vanilla, spices and caramel. good heat, with a nice, smooth finish. Nothing bad about this juice.

A little lemon, oak, earthy, and slight bite at the end.

There are more flavorful and complex tequilas in this price range of you want to sip.

notes of vanilla and cinammon lead to oak, pepper and the leather they speak of. finish is pleasant with a lil bit of caramel.

Definitely different. Not getting much of the agave flavor I’m looking for in this one. A bit muddied and earthy.
