Bottle from early 2000s made at El Viejito. Roast agave and some alcohol on the nose. First sip is caramelized agave with some citrus notes...46% ABV is hardly evident except as part of a long lingering finish.

Mexican 46% abv., marbete is from the 90’s, tasted on 3-26-24 Aroma: raw agave, light earthiness, light green vegetal notes, after 20 minutes in the glass the agave note becomes slightly sweet. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, although alcohol sensation is lower than the actual 46%, however on the nose and palate it is not complex, mainly clean raw agave on the nose and clean cooked agave note on the palate. Finish is medium to medium long, light cooked agave with a hint of green vegetal note persists.
