A full bodied Anejo from an awesome wine and spirit maker. Sweet, vanilla, orange flavors come through

Aroma is pretty closed and needs a little time in the glass. Like the reposado, barrel dominates the aroma with just a bit of dried fruit and baking spice (nutmeg primarily). Flavor opens with fruit sweetness then explodes with heavy spice - peppermint and cinnamon. Although it has that big spice bomb, the finish is short. This one drinks a lot like whiskey. A bit of sweetness softens it a little but not enough. The añejo has none of the complexity that was in the repo. 11-10-2018

Good nose, sticky caramel type finish

Aroma: a good dose of caramel, creme brulee, and cinnamon. Taste: slight heat, but nothing terrible. Orange zest, cinnamon, and oak. the finish doesn't last too long.

Sipping tequila starts slightly watery bit with a strong flavor. Hints of fruit, caramel, and something oaky, but overpowered by strong butterscotch vapors and flavor tones. A sweet and watery sensation with a clean finish leaving hints of caramel and a slight sting.

The nose is decent with some cooked agave and caramel, maybe baking spice. Taste is nice a little hot maybe but not to its detriment. Sweeter notes really shine through here with the caramel honey vanilla that I like to see in an anejo. It’s a bit harsh on the finish. Has a chemical almost paint thinner (not alcohol burn) thing going on. Not overwhelming, but ruins what could be a nice finish otherwise.

An aroma of oak, dried fruit, and strong alcohol. Almost like a whiskey. Surprisingly, little to no taste initially on the tongue then a quick shave bite. Very short finish. Ahhh

Strong butterscotch & white oak on the nose. Sweet mouth from the agave, but short on the finish. The spice takes a while to hit, but unfortunately it is short-lived. Leaves a nice burn, but also leaves me wanting more from the glass. It’s a nice tequila. I don’t know if I’d buy it again compared to so many others of this quality in the price range but I’m glad I have this initial bottle.

Really heavy on the wood flavor, close to tasting like whiskey. The agave sweetness saves it from being whiskey. I like this tequila for its ability to stand apart. I would compare it to Don Pillar.

Nice to try something different. The Chardonnay finish really makes this one stand out. Complex with wood, spice, and a hint of agave mixed with a slight smooth sweetness.

Aromatically intense with notes of caramel, butterscotch, dried fruits sand toasty oak. This distillery uses natural spring water sourced on property. With winemaking vision; ages 12 months in new AMERICAN oak, 4 months in used French oak and finishes in Chardonnay barrels

First off the bottle is very attractive square and heavy. Stopper is glass with some silicone to seal it. Color is nice golden straw and shiny leaving tears and legs from a slightly thick liquid. Nose has some wood and maybe some of the chardonnay that the barrel is rested in. It also has some fruit and vanilla notes. Taste is very smooth with some barrel, fruit and vanilla with a touch of heat at the end that lingers to a medium finish that is nice. This is a complex reposado.
