Aroma: Decent on the nose. It's fairly muted and I get a bit salty as well as smokey. There is a bit of caramel and oak but mostly muted by the first aromas. Flavor: Almost non existent. So mild at the start that the only way you know it's tequila is the slight burn in the back of your throat. Eventually a slight hint of oak and caramel comes out but nothing noteworthy. Finish: Kind of interesting because I think the finish occurs before the flavor starts. In any case, incredibly mild and nothing special

Aroma is discreet with mild notes of oak and flowers. Upfront, the flavor is nearly non-existent but eventually a slight peppery spice with just a hint of sweetness shows up. The finish is extremely short. This one is almost the polar opposite of the Codigo XA - low price ($70) but with an equivalent low flavor. Even at a low price something can be over-priced. 12/30/2016 - 4th Annual Xmas XA tasting.

Not an easy one to find. but very easy to sit neat. I love the story behind this Tequila and that it is specific to the Baja. Wonderful up-front notes with a very smooth, mellow finish.
