Nice initial warm vanilla/Carmel nose. Ends hot with little complexity. Disappointing.

Overall not a bad tasting tequila, but a bit overrated and in my opinion on the pricey side for the quality of product.

The roasting, versus boiling/steaming, of the agave adds some really nice character to this tequila! I didn't want to like it (not a celebrity chaser), but I really do!

Toffee flavoured with a bit of smoke, and a long finish. Very nice - it’s growing on me.

Sweet Vanilla aroma. Smooth taste and no bite after. Was on sale - great value at $50. I will get this again.

Good, smooth, easy to drink, a go-to. No spicyness, simple and easy.

Went into this skeptical of the hype but was pleasantly surprised. Little strong on the aroma but felt taste was good with a smooth finish.. Thoroughly enjoyed!!

Sweet nose, even palate, loses some luster on the finish. Would wager there's so added color but over all not bad.

The only thing I have a problem with is the light body. Most anejo has a richer body... a more caramel flavor. Otherwise it is enjoyable over whiskey rocks without diluting it.

Tasted in a short stem tasting glass. Nice golden brown color with good legs on the side of the glass. Not too thin or oily, just right in my opinion. Aroma is light for an anejo and less distinguished than the reposado. Sweet flavor on the tasting with caramel, agave, oak, chocolate, cinnamon, and pepper at the end. Good finish with a small burn at the back of the throat. I can see this one being too light and sweet for some, but I enjoyed it very much.

Great two way player; Smooth over ice and blends well with most cocktail mixers.

First "premium" tequila - from England and never had a chance to experience tequila at any depth til recent trip to California. Now love it but it is slightly incongruous (and expensive! And possibly slightly less enjoyment owing to different sense of light/space/culture) drinking this in England in winter.

Excellent TEQUILA to open when the AMIGOS visit. Less bright & Sweet on the nose than the Reposado. Definitely shows a little Vanilla along with some leather & Barrel Spices. The palate is on the Spicy Side & while there's an Oaky Sweetness the AGAVE is still discernible in the final results w/ a minty, slightly bitter finish. Salud!

This is some pretty harsh anejo at least for my palette. I couldnt grasp any unique flavors. I did get some wood flavor but thats to be expected. This reminded me of solely of a whiskey which i dont like.

Like class Azul it's too sweetened and thin on agave see John Welch and Grovers review....

More of that artificial sweetness/ nastiness. I don't care what the producers say, something not right going on here.

Very pleasing on the nose, caramel and vanilla. So smooth with a nice caramel note. Finishes very nice. One of my favorites and the price is very good for the quality.

Was recommended by a bartender, and he explained the George Clooney connection. For me this is a great anejo I will return to. Very interesting flavor with a powerful finish.

An excellent tequila that is fairly pricey, perhaps a bit overpriced even. But it takes on great vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch notes from the barrel. Reminds me of a bourbon. Easily recommended. I think this is a bit better than the reposado; but it's much better than the blanco. Well done George.

I liked this tequila it's sweet nice aroma of oak caramel and vanilla on the flavor it's sweet with black pepper at the end and alcohol for the price I think it's kind a little high because this tequila it's ok but not grate aroma or flavor!
