Elegant tequila, goes down like milk chocolate, cinnamon, caramel, agave, hints of vanilla, hints of wood, even some fruit. On the nose there’s a sweetness that grabs your attention

Strong caramel vanilla aroma on top of agave.. Rich oak notes on the palate compliment the agave taste.. like a fine blend of bourbon and tequila.. love the extra aging!! Smooth finish!

Nice aroma though not particularly strong. Nice complexity with a hint of rich sweetness and a nice finish

Strong contender in its price ranged. Is it expensive sure, does it compete with 1942? Absolutely! Nice nose, taste and finish. Presentation is A+, would recommend as a gift for a Tequila lover! Especially someone who is a whiskey lover would work well to convert them or would look great on any bar!

Big vanilla on the nose. Palate goes more traditional with decent agave and an okay finish. Expensive for what it delivers.

Lovely sipping tequila. Hints of leather and tobacco, not overly oaked.

Heavy caramel/burnt sugar nose, opening with a slight alcohol burn and a strong oak finish. Limited agave flavor.

OK, this tequila is so good AND underpriced that I went on line to secure two bottles for myself while sitting at the bar. If you luck into looking this tequila up, try it! It is a tequila drinker's tequila. I will never look at avion the same way again. I will be kinder in general. Thanks to my bartender KB for recommending this one. Why have no pros rated this tequila? Poor Avion.

Aroma: It's very light and mellow to start with subtle hints of oak, cherry and is also slightly floral. But, as it opens up it gets much stronger and has a heavy butterscotch aroma with a slight coffee undertone. Flavor: Again, like the initial aroma it is very light. I get a slight hint of oak but the butterscotch definitely stands out as the most prominent flavor. It's very interesting. Usually XA's are a little too barrel heavy for my taste but this is so light and not overpowering at all.

Practically no oak in the aroma and clear notes of cherry, almond and flowers followed by mild butterscotch. The butterscotch and oak become more pronounced with some time in the glass. Nice opening spice flavor tamed by sweet butterscotch. Nice, long finish that lingers in the mouth. Much fuller and richer than the Crotalo. More of a "traditional"XA. UPDATED on 7/6 in side by side tasting with Crotalo Gran Reserva, Tears of Llorona and re-tasting of Diablito.

Strong butter and spice aroma! Initial taste is bold, but flavorful! Very smooth! A must drink for any tequila lover!
