I drank this when it was first introduced, 2014-2015ish? when I was sipping sweet tequila, such as clase azul and dos artes. fast forward to 2022 and i can no longer drink these kinds of tequila. they taste too artificially sweet.

This is one of the few I actually had to spit out. Left a nasty chemical linger that required several gargles and rinses to remove from my mouth. Avoid!

Nose - Oak, Agave, Butterscotch It’s pleasant, smells sweet but a little harsh with the oak. Taste - Oak, Agave, Butterscotch, Cinnamon It is not as sweet as the smell and that’s ok. I like it, I probably would not spend $65 on it again. If it was say $45 I’d be more impressed. Finish - Oak, Agave, Butterscotch, alcohol. Lingers a while and coats the teeth with a slight butterscotch candy. It’s a beautiful light colored tequila. The pack edging is way nicer then the pics. The bottle is imperfect, heavy and just beautiful. The Viscosity is also very impressive. There is a long oil finish that clings to the glass.

Blind taste tested. Medium light color, medium light body, caramel, cinnamon, bubblegum and oak on the nose. Tastes of sweet agave, sugar cane, white pepper and cinnamon. There's a subtle charred agave smoky flavor like a Mescal. A smooth sweet smokey finish. There's a hint of smoke throughout and that's not something I find in most Anejo tequilas. My favorite Anejo of the night. Note: Brown bottle.
