Did not like this Anejo at all. Friend shared it, it figures it was a Total Wine suggestion/pick. Artificial, bland, no real agave notes. Found out afterward it’s diffuser of course.

its just trash, total wine has the audacity of saying this is additive free..i call BS..taste extremely fake, with a peppery after taste, highly citrus, no peculiar agave taste that you get from other brands. Its a one time for me and more than likely will be on my bar a long time i cant bring myself to drink this.

Slight Citrus, hint of wood/vanilla taste.

Strong chocolate/brown sugar notes. It’s my go-to tequila to mix with a lemon coke!

Super disappointing Tequila. Way over priced for what you get.

Don Roberto (Total Wine @ $64) is a pleasant anjeo. Nose: A tad rough, but as this opens up you get roasted peppers, tobacco, slight oak char, light vanilla and dried fruits. What I found missing is the cooked agave. Taste: Light and dry with aome peppery warmth. Again, almost no agave presence. A bit of pepper, oak, leather, and tobacco and oak. Finish: Drops off a cliff.

It took a minute to figure out this aroma and why I liked it. It smells just like sunscreen with a coconut scent. Going into the taste with thoughts of bikini clad girls at the beach can not save this Tequilla. Wow it’s bad. The finish is long and lingers, but who wants something this bad to linger?

Light in color for an añejo, but it has quite an exquisite aroma for a tequila in this price range. The flavor is good, but it doesn't match the aroma. Easy on the frontal palette, with fruit and almond notes. Finish is light, but it suits this tequila.
