NOM 1529 | Butter. Oak. My nose gets some additives ~vanilla Decent tho! Not a bad sipper

NOM 1499 | A little better than the blanco. Definitely roasted agave aroma along with butter & oak. Again, I got nothing sweet. Very short, slight pepper finish. Not bad at all, just super simple.

The nose is really nice on this one, with aromas of butter, butterscotch, toffee, and caramel. Roasted agave starts to shine through after this tequila has had some time to open up. The flavor is a surprise after the rich nose, as it has a very spicy profile. Lots of earth and black and white pepper are present, with a bit of a buttery undertone and hints of roasted agave. I liked the spiciness, my only complaint is that I would've also liked to have tasted some of the butterscotch/toffee/caramel that was on the nose. The finish was mid-length, with the spiciness slowly fading out.
