Older 2009 bottling. Dark amber. Nose: Appealing aromas of ripe red fruit, agave, round barrel spices and hints of pear and citrus. Flavor: Vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, toasted hazelnuts, fruit and pepper. Finish: Long and balanced. I had not revisited this tequila in a long time, and found it far better than I had expected...
