Mexican 40% abv. version, rear of front label states: 20000030, marbete is from 2002, tasted on 3-22-24. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, hint of white floral notes, light acidity, light citrus. Hint of earthiness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance, orange peel. Finish is medium to medium long, light sweet cooked agave with orange peel and good sweet sour and citrus balance persists.

If Quixote poured herself a shot of this for the evening, she might not be happy she drank tequila that night. Rocinante says the smell is all fanfare for fanfare’s sake and that it’s going for the US market. Too bad because we just tasted the base blanco that’s sold in Mexico and we think it’s a lot better for under $20.
