Nose takes a while to open up. Some agave, fruitiness and caramel, with a bit of brininess and citrus. A fleeting aroma of rubber. Flavor is bolder than the nose. Barrel spices, pepper and oily agave. Some floral undercurrents. Pretty much a natural progression from the blanco. An interesting offering from Michoacán.

L001, marbete is from 2008, 1 liter bottle, 40% abv., tasted on 10-1-23. Color: light yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked and aromatic agave! Cream soda, tutti frutti that feels natural, slightly herbal, citrus, lemon with orange, sprite, it has an effervescent sensation that amplifies aromas and makes them not cloying. Slight acidity, earthy. Good balance between sweet, sour, citrus and herbal components. I can smell orange blossom through my restronasal. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, fresh & crisp. Finish is medium to long, light sweet cooked agave with citrus & tutti frutti notes linger!

I found this Tequila in my fathers hometown of Sahuayo Mich. Mexico. I was seeking something I couldn’t attain in the US easily, a special item at that. It has a fresh, crisp, taste and does not agitate when going down. Extremely smooth finish. Highly recommend to all.

Light straw color in the glass. Mild aroma of agave and oak. I did get that initial hint of rubber in the aroma that Remy mentioned. It faded away in the glass after a short while. Flavor of the oak and mild pepper with a light finish.
