NOM 1110 L19 247 2A TBC01 40% ABV Initial nasal impact is warming with a slight prickle. Aroma has sweetness from cooked agave followed by mineral, tropical fruit, briney olives, grass, pepper, floral. Somewhat watery initial mouthfeel with natural sweetness and adequate alcohol. Cooked agave, grass, mint, olive and brandy or whiskey notes. Citrus and pepper build on a long and enjoyable finish. Unfortunately I never had the blanco from NOM 1139 to compare it to, but this is a very good sipper.
NOM 1139 | NOM1139 - The nose is unique. I first detect a plum sweetness (stone fruit) that’s also slightly floral. There’s a pleasant fragrance that I assume comes from being rested in the wine barrels. There’s an underlying scent of cooked agave and some soft vegetal notes, akin to muted Espadin. I also get some faint honeysuckle. - I immediately taste the natural sweetness but then I get some white pepper on the mid palate. The sweetness isn’t cloyingly sweet. It’s equivalent to ripe red fruits. Some would say it has a feminine profile but I’m not a fan of that verbiage. The pepper is pleasant but fleeting. The buttery agave presents itself on the mid palate. The finish is clean with just a hint of lingering white pepper. - Overall it’s a unique and naturally sweet blanco. I think the Sauternes casks definitely had an impact on the spirit.
NOM 1139 | Aroma: Very pleasant, complex & unique floral personality Cooked agave is there, but covered by so many fun layers of citrus, spicy, fruity and floral notes. Depends on the drinker it can be good or bad. Too much complexity can overpower the agave notes that drinkers look for in a blanco expression. Citrus aromas are sweet (oranges & mandarin with a subtle note of bitter orange peel) Spicy aromas - potent black pepper / slight cinnamon Fruity aromas - apricot, peach, mango, caramelized fruits (this is a roller coaster experience influenced by the grand cru sauternes/cognac barrels) Floral aromas - honeysuckle and jasmine (barrel influence?) Flavors are very similar to its aroma personality just with more elegance at mid palate, then the finish is medium to long, but I did not enjoy it as i though I would (defects sensation). It left me a very subtle solvent-like bouquet. It was almost a perfect innovative product except for the finish. Would like to revisit…
NOM 1139 | agave, fruity, pepper — really enjoyed this
Old NOM 1139, Lote EXB-004, 11/12/12 Nose- raw agave, chalk, grass, lime Taste- sweet cooked agave, vegetal and floral, white pepper Mouth feel- thin but oily Finish- softly sweet w/ just a touch of heat that lingers At $46 in Michigan this is a great tequila. I'm not sure how the newer runs taste but this one was pretty damn good.

NOM 1139 | This is waaaaayyy better than I remember, just oozing agave from start to finish. I love the story of the Sauternes cask but I don’t get any extra sweetness because of it. Great stuff.
NOM 1139 | Great sipper, mixes fairly well.
NOM 1139 | Viscous in the glass leaving a sheet on the inside when tipped. Nice roast agave on the nose with an oilinesss in the mouth that leads to a clinging, lingering finish. Bottle from 08/10/10.
NOM 1139 | Usually, Smokey is harsh, but this is smooth as silk. Very scotchy, in a really good way.
NOM 1139 | Right on the nose transitioning from (musty wet soil- not a fan) to Vanilla then tobacco. Light a Agave on the palate with very little finish. I would mark it higher right now if the cost was less. Second visit brings more tobacco to the finish and a little to the aroma.
NOM 1139 | Has a very unique aroma, and it tastes delicious. Smooth and silky, with a pleasant finish that happily lingers on your palette. This is a long-term all-night sipper.

NOM 1139
strong smell citrus fresh pretty smooth
NOM 1139 | Lots of mint and peppermint on the nose Mint, agave with a honey finish, light body with quick finish
NOM 1139 | Nom 1139. An agave start with fine, oily mouth feel . Very smooth finish that lingers. Each sip gives a better experience. The taste begins to manifest a pleasant watery start that leads to the oily mouth feel with a well balanced agave taste. The finish is wonderfully easy with a hint of heat. Find some. I will hunt down more for my home.
NOM 1139 | Crisp and clean on the nose. A bit of alcohol buzzing around. Legs on the glass hanging around for a long time. Great viscous mouth feel. Sweet on the tongue then has a bit of spicy/pepper. Decent finish with an earthy ending. This was from 1139 with a date of 9/11/11. Picked these up for under $36 dollars a bottle!
NOM 1139 | Green pepper taste, sweet
NOM 1139 | Agave Green grass Cardamom Lime Soft finish
NOM 1139 | Agave nose is very fragrant. Like smoked agave. Wood. Finish is smoky, pepper
Mmm, tastes like carpentry! But in a delightful way. Ooo wee!
NOM 1139 | I managed to get an old bottle from lot 15/13/2014 when was stilled made in La Alteña NOM-1139. I’m excited! The Aromas are gentle, not bold or wild, they are those delicates aromas that do not overpower the spirit taking over the room, instead are there like a great background music at the right decibel, they show great quality. At the beginning there was a small part of alcohol that I didn’t like but when you get pass that, you get nice cooked agave, minerals coming from the spring water used, oranges, floral (definitely a characteristic of the highlands) and some spices in too. The flavour is agave, minerals, spices and finishes with nice bitterness. The texture is nice, I like a bit more body in my tequilas but the flavours are great that compensated that softness. The finish stays in your tongue with nice warm feeling like if you just ate a nice meal and you enjoy the flavours that are in your mouth. I do recommend it, it’s not a tequila that gets me ibérico the moon, like others, but is a tequila that makes me feel good knowing that I am drinking something pure, good, that I will take my time to enjoy it and, it’s a tequila that I will like to keep in my collection.

My first foray into Excellia. I've heard wonderful things and the price dictates that it better be good too. I guess we'll see...
