NOM 1426 So under the radar and so fucking good! Not easy to find, if you see the original funny looking bottle with the red clown nose topper, grab it. Clean, crisp, agave forward. Lime, citrus, mint, melon, a great sleeper for sure! Avoid the new NOM 1438 version.

NOM 1438- better than the reposado from the same nom, but again a big difference from the original NOM 1426. This is drinkable, but definitely not high-end

NOM 1438 | I like this. Good agave, pepper and fruitiness. The pear and agave gives a cinnamon pear like flavor. With a light bit of minty coolness on the end.

NOM 1426 | 100% blue weber agave from the lowlands, baked 48 hrs in brick ovens. Juices extracted using the traditional tahona method. Double distilled in stainless steel pot stills. What an incredible value! A great sipper that you won't feel guilty mixing. Legs and pearls, agave nose. Bright clean flavor. Moderate pepper/spice finish that lingers. Purchased at Old Town Liquor $22/750ml

Very smooth, vegetal with caramel, cocoa, vanilla with a hint of fruitiness. Well worth trying!

NOM 1438 | There’s a creaminess on the nose that seems unnatural. Very mild aroma where the agave seems lost but detectable. The tasting is a combination of cooked and raw agave with hints of pepper and fruits. The finish presents alcohol and mild viscosity. Vanilla lingers.

NOM 1426 | Aroma - Cooked Agave, lots of citrus, brine, and a grape note as well. Flavor - medium mouthfeel with notes of cooked agave, grape, citrus, with a black pepper note on the finish. Finish was short and uneventful. Fairly one dimensional but not offensive.

NOM 1426 | No aroma. That's what i like. Kind of a wood flavor. Nice. Smoother than the most recent that i rated smooth.

Review #235 - Don Cosme Tequila Blanco

Another interesting budget friendly tequila. Their website is only in Spanish, which I like. It makes me feel like I'm drinking like the Mexicans.
