NOM 1438 | Lote: canen 076. 4/12/2017 Caramel, choc and butterscotch and black pepper finish. Aroma is deceivingly boring until first sip. Then you can identify heavy cooked agave, vanilla and butterscotch.

I just saw this at Total Wine on sale for $27 and bought 2 bottles after reading the reviews and I’m glad I did. It normally sells for $40 but it’s still worth it. It’s not very complex but it has the right amount of vanilla and butterscotch to keep you coming back for more and a very smooth finish. With anejo prices skyrocketing, this is a great buy.

NOM 1438 | The Carmel and vanilla with the cooked agave work awesome together to bring a great super smooth tequila.

Review #121 - El Caballo Estrella Tequila Anejo

A wonderful value tequila that has a strong whiskey influence and an array of flavors that make it one of the best bargains out there.
