Tough to say this is close to the ok’d Cabo Wabo, column still kind of strips the flavor profile. Definite additives. For a cocktail base margarita

NOM 1467 from an old 1L Event/Restaurant plastic screwtop bottle. Tastes surprisingly fresh for a 10 year old juice. Nose is agave and green pepper, on the palate lots of viscosity and chewiness from the juice. A dominant bitter note on the tongue lets you know what you're drinking...no added sugars or sweeteners here. Quite dynamic through the finish with some prolonged mid tongue numbing.

Love having this around to splash in Bloody Mary mix or anything else at a whim and as a general swigger from time to time when I walk by my liquor cabinet and it catches my eye waving and winking at me. Very bearable flavor, not a bouquet of balanced traits but not medicinal or cheap tasting either. Perfect for its price point and is exactly what it should be meeting expectations for price and name and never falls short or into cheap brand territory. Old reliable!

NOM 1440 | A solid tequila to my surprise. Aroma is full of floral, alcohol, agave, citrus, mint, lime and smoke. Flavor is sweet with a little bitterness, agave and clove. It finish medium heat with nuts and sweetness.

NOM 1440 | Some agave but heaps of alcohol and a slightly unpleasant oily finish. I’ll leave this in the “shooter” category.

NOM 1440 The aroma is vegetal with a strong mint alongside. There is also a distinct medicinal under note - rubbing alcohol? Thick, oily mouthfeel with spicy peppermint appearing right upfront. A bit of bitter almond and citrus at the end. Finish gets even more bitter and is medium to long. 9/6/2015

easy nose with hints of pepper foreshadowing the later, stronger taste. heavy pepper with citrus notes with butter in the back. aggressive toward the end with a burn that out lasts the agave sweetness. decent tequila.

NOM 1440 | 14/LOTE/015, bottled on 12/MAY/2010, marbete is from 2007. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, sprite, citrus & lime, floral notes, mandarin, resinous sweetness! Stone fruit sweetness. Fresh & crisp. Palate: citrus and lime, good sweet sour & citrus balance, cooked agave, light pepper spiciness. At the end it is slightly bitter. Finish is medium to long, citrus, lime and light cooked agave notes persist.

Not impressed by aroma. Strong alcohol odor, difficult to detect any other notes. Strong alcohol flavor, not smooth. Raw agave and vegetation notes. Quite peppery. Medium length finish, complex but bitter. Raw agave is primarily flavor here.

NOM 1440 | Soft on the nose, ethanol, earthy, agave, green olive. Medium-thin mouthfeel. Earthy, pepper, spice. Mild sweet in the finish with a bit of a bite. Not the best sipping experience for me.

I’m not a tequila connoisseur so take my review with a grain of salt but the alcohol taste in the bottle i had was so strong i felt like i might as well have drank rubbing alcohol. Very spicy flavoring as well. Tried mixing it with different drinks but the alcohol taste was still so overpowering for my taste

I might use this as a mixer or if there is nothing else available but generally it's not good. Alcohol and pepper on the nose and taste.

Not one for sipping, probably ok for margaritas but a bit underwhelming whilst sipping over ice

Lots of alcohol flavor up front. Probably due to column still distillation. After the strong alcohol bite, there are some other nuances to enjoy.

Review #239 - Cabo Wabo Tequila Blanco

A widely available brand that is all over the place in terms of how it's reviewed. I'm suprised it took me this long to taste it, but I guess I never felt an urgency.
