NOM 1524 | NOM 1524, LOTE 96200214 This is a relatively dark reposado. The aroma follows suit - strong barrel notes and very sweet: caramel/honey, some cooked agave and a slight freshness (mint or grass). Almost gets into whiskey territory with the sweetness. Almost overwhelmingly sweet on the initial flavor and is only saved by a slight hot pepper heat. Very thin/watery. All flavor disappears within 5-15 seconds. No real finish to speak of. 8/17/2022

NOM 1360 | AGR/25/02/6.R, marbete is from 2001, Mexican 38% abv. version. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: sweet cooked agave, citrus, acidic, lemon & orange, herbaceous, sweet orange. It has characteristics of the inaequidens agave from Michoacán. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and acidic balance. Ends with a pleasant earthy note. Finish is medium to long, sweet cooked agave with sweet citrus and acidic notes persist. 30 minutes later I sniffed it again and a touch of lactic note emerges, pleasantly.
