Baked agave, spice and floral aroma. Medium to oily texture of sweet agave, citrus zest and baking spices.
I rated this tequila blind, during the 2013 Spirits of Mexico competition in San Diego.
Smells like toffee and caramel A bit sweet
This is a fine anejo. Nothing Special. nice butterscotch and agave notes but it has a strong acetone note in the middle.
Explodes with Diacetyl like hot buttered popcorn. Inviting but not very complex. Round and plush. Hints of sweetness round off the harsh edges.
Nose: The nose is very sweet and pleasant -- lots of agave and vanilla. Taste: Not as sweet as you might expect from the aroma, but still a tiny bit of sweetness that meshes well with the oak that comes through. This was my very first Anejo tequila and it was love at first taste. This bottle really got me into loving tequila, so I thought it was only fitting that it would be my first review. If I reviewed this tequila when I first tried it years ago, I would certainly have rated it in the 90's. Having tasted many other tequilas since then, I wouldn't consider it a top-tier anejo, but it still holds a special place for me. At $40 it is also a very good bargain for a solid anejo tequila in my opinion.
Fruity & floral aromas and taste. They kinda throw off the carmel and richer spices. A bit of solvent and lime in the finish.
Nose is pretty one dimensional, hint of vanilla, brown sugar/molasses. The flavour is quite underwhelming, warm and dry with an astringent finish.
There’s a fine line between paint stripper and paint thinner....and this tequilas aroma sits right on that line. Look... I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue, but one waft of the stench from this bottle put me back in the lowly place of my Elmers and Gorrilla Glue huffing addiction. The color and flavor from this juice, which might contain some agave, looks and tastes like it was taken from a cesspool of a leather tannery. Rawhide!
I was given a bottle of this as a gift about 10 years ago. I could never find it in any store. I was told it was a special blend. I’ve had better though.
Unwanted creamy flavor and slightly viscous mouth feel made this a bad choose.
Pretty average. Not very unique in terms of taste
I just found a flavor and aroma of butter pecan. The finish is smooth caramel with a pleasant oiliness that lingers on the palate. This is my first time finding the complexities in the taste, a very exciting breakthrough for a budding tequila aficionado.
Aromas of burnt sugar, banana, butterscotch, vanilla.
El Olor: Wispy and faint. Herbal and vegetal; cooked agave, basal, and moss. El Sabor: Biting and a little harsh. Tobacco and cedar are readily detectable but punctuated by bell peppers and the alkaline after burn of curing concrete or wet cardboard. El Final: This is where this tequila asserts it's huevos! Very peppery finish and long lasting. This is a tequila that favors corn bread or corn tortillas. Maybe pair with a mango salsa and tortilla chips to bring some sweetness to this party.
Best of the three styles for this line. Just a quality drink at this level. Not to say the others are bad, this is more of my style. Good nose and taste. Nice and oily on the palate.
Aroma sweet agave, fruit, strong floral... Light - med oily body with agave, floral and hint of oak. Decent peppery finish on the tongue.
Really fantastic flavor. very floral, less woody than some, cleaner than most. No burn. Not much nose of tequila, just flowers.
good tequila however nothing sets it apart.

A sweet scented aroma with vanilla, toasted coconut and fruit (cherry, peach, ???). The flavor is rich and oaky with a nice touch of spice - chocolate, pine and baking spice. The finish is medium-long. A nice, reasonably priced añejo. 06/18/2017 (vertical tasting)
