Lote No: 134 Approx 30 Bx 40% ABV The initial nasal impact is sweet and warming. The aroma is the epitome of NOM 1079. Harmonious balance of sweet cooked agave, pear (which is the underlying signature note for 1079 for me), cinnamon, floral, bright lime, pepper and a yeasty/lactic note on the aroma. A cut grass (or sage) component is definitely present as well. An oily, creamy mouth feel with a perfect (for me) pepper hit on the tongue due to the generous (even though 40% ABV) presence of alcohol. The character of sweet cooked agave and pear hit first. Melon, cinnamon and pepper balance out the incredible flavor. Notes of lime cut in and there is a slight sense of vanilla on the retro nasal (not strong vanilla flavor, but the essence of vanilla). The pepper still tingles on the tongue even after the other flavors of the med finish dissipate. This blanco is phenomenal. Rare to find a tequila at 30 brix, just amazing. I mentioned "balance" twice. ArteNOM 1079 gives you everything you ask a blanco to give. Outstanding complexity. What an amazing treat from NOM 1079. Jake Lustig and ArteNOM have truly put together the Hall of Fame of master distillers and brought out their best. So unfortunate it is no longer available. Needless to say, if you find one, send it to me

On the nose: Wet grass, citrus, agave and that faintest pear that I know from 1079. Nice medium body, sweet upon entry and quickly moves to agave and a hit of pepper. A short finish, but leaves a satisfying heat on the tongue and back of throat.

Rated blind after aeration. Clear and pale/bright with pretty thin legs. Big agave nose. Can smell the spice. There's a lot more going on here in the nose than just agave. When inhaled deeply can feel the alcohol in the sinuses. I'm really digging this aroma! Not much spice on the lips while priming the palate, but really getting it sublingual. The alcohol is strong with this one. Baked agave and some some earthy flavors. Spicy finish sublingual, tip of tongue and front of mouth. Almost a numbing feeling in these areas. Dry. The spice fades and the dryness lasts. Purchased at Old Town Liquor & Deli

Complex aroma of agave and citrus. So much going on in the flavor that it is hard to point out anything specific...very good. Long warm finish that goes on and on and on.

Wow- this is a great tequila. Aroma is perfect with agave with hints of earth mineral and anise. On the palate- whew- delicious. Pops with cooked agave, pepper, anise, minerality, dirt- the good kind and some fruit undertones. Finish is nice- wish it was longer. Agave and pepper linger as I breathe and it’s a clean finish- slightly silky.

Nice clean agave forward blanco. Just the right combo of pepper and fruit flavor. Another great product from ArteNom

Smoothest blanco I’ve ever had! Drinks like water with no water or ice added. Super smooth, with the slight hint of agave in the finish.

one of the best sipping blancos I've ever had...it has the aroma, taste and finish of a premium tequila. It definitely raised the bar for my standard on Blanco tequilas

A tequila beating to my heart... Fruity straightforward I-am-tequila taste with a great finish. For a price comparable to Fortaleza, very good complement. I would include this any day in a horizontal blanco tasting.

Sweet agave / rotten peaches nose with floral, citrus, sugar cane and cinnamon notes. Thin legs and not much alcohol presence. The flavor profile is similar with a bit of yeasty dough. This is a very low heat Tequila which is neither watery or oily. The finish is quick and the agave notes disappear but leaves a tingling numbing sensation on the tongue. Almost the polar opposite of let's say Fortaleza but equally as good. A clean beautiful Blanco with a subtle but complex flavor profile.

Enough to be an alternative to DJ.
