NOM 1107 | Aroma: Initially lots of butter but after it sits for a second some cherry and caramel. There is also a slight hint of oak. Flavor: Slightly bitter. Definitely some oak on the finish in combination with vanilla. There is a bit of pepper on the front which balances it out well. Finish: Solid finish, definitely hang around and leaves a lot of flavors in the mouth. Definitely the best finish of the line.

NOM 1107 | NOM 1107 Although this is a relatively pale añejo, there is quite a bit of oak in the aroma - sweet vanilla, nutmeg, and a bit of mint. Flavor is smooth and sweet upfront followed by baking spice and black pepper. Nice transition from sweetness to spice. The finish lingers medium to long. 6/21/2017 (vertical tasting)

NOM 1107 | The overproof to 84 is interesting in this spicy anejo from El Viejito distillery. Makes it seem a little dangerous, Peligroso so to speak. Yeah I've been drinking lol.....

NOM 1107 | The lead makes you think it may be ok…but horrible finish. Reminds me of Hornitos.

This is a nice Añejo. Still plenty of agave for tequila lovers but also some spicy pepper and light sweetness. Solid.

Too light for an añejo, seems like a reposado. It has interesting notes of vainilla, caramel, spices. Diffuser tequila, no thanks.

NOM 1535 | My go to tequila. $25 for a bottle of smooth Anejo. Really stands up well against bottles twice the price. Oh and John Wick drinks it. How can you go wrong with "dangerous" tequila?

NOM 1107 | Cherries Light on agave or wood

Roasted agave, easy to drink, nothing stands out, warm. Some bitterness. Some oak.

NOM 1535 | Aroma is subtle, hints of vanilla and agave. Wonderful flavor, vanilla notes with hints of pepper and caramel. Nice gradual finish.

NOM 1535 | Heavy alcohol nose and taste. Finish is less than tolerable. Blah.

NOM 1107 | This is a sweet and balanced Anejo that I share with my whiskey drinking friends -and they always love it! With a strong oak presence, I'm not surprised. I myself can't help but think of bourbon when I'm drinking this. Cooked agave, citrus, cinnamon, and caramel notes make this very enjoyable. The bottle has a cool design too. My only complaint is that alcohol sometimes overpowers the nose and taste, but for a overproof spirit that should be expected.

Drinking neat. Light for an anejo, but solid overall. Light, almost fruity aroma and flavor. Nice, reasonably smooth finish.

To me this tequila was a little rough for an anejo. Perhaps I was expecting too much, but it was more like a reposado to me.
