This great tequila defies odds by proving how wood and agave can coexist without wood dominating. Flavors of charred wood, agave, pepper, caramel, and chocolate. Bourbon, rum, brandy, and tequila in 1.

Rich floral dried fruit full nose. Rounded balanced vibrant entry. I’m pleasantly surprised so far. I’m liking this! This is Don Fulano at its best.

Prior rating was deleted from the database due to an error a while ago. Tasted blind with other XA. Solid and flavorful this had been a favorite. I prefer the older, larger blue ceramic bottles to the new ones.

Tastes of cloves, maple, dark chocolate, tobacco , oak very complex taste that leaves me wanting more. Rich aroma of black cherry . Long velvety finish smooth on the tongue moving through peppery to earthy ending on a sweet note.

Very dark color. One of the greatest tequilas/extra anejos in the world. So smooth it's dangerous..

Aroma: Much like the Anejo it has strong hints of oak but then also has notes of vanilla, caramel, and cherry. Strangely, it also has an earthy quality that I would normally associate with a blanco. Flavor: It definitely has a strong oak flavor with hints of cinnamon and cherry. Finish: nice long smooth finish. It also leaves your mouth feeling a little dry which I think is a unique characteristic.

Aroma of caramel, dirt and citrus. Incredibly smooth, slightly sweet flavors of caramel, vanilla and cinnamon. Fairly tannic and mouth-drying but not overly so. Great finish that lingers for a good, long time.

This tequila has bright peat, cinnamon and earthy aromas, and a delightful almost fruity flavor. The finish seems to bring a few surprises as it delivers waves of delicious complexity. This is a real treat.

This tequila's aromas of earth and agave don't hint at the delicious, slightly sweet carmel, anise taste that hits your palate upon the first sip. A treat for sure, but a bit pricey.

Tasting the Don Fulano imperial blind, I had no idea as to how much I would dig this juice! For a tequila that has been aged for 5 years (in I believe, heavy charred casks) there is a ton of agave in the nose and in the taste! Notes of cooked agave, dry earth, orange peel, cinnamon, white pepper, dark caramel, toffee, coffee, leather and honey this tequila has a lot of heavy oak nots, but not overly sweet. I'm totally diggin' it!
