Mini tour of NOM 1124 Though no longer made, this añejo is very similar to Reserva del Senora from the same distillery. Slightly less caramel and even more bourbon forward only a little agave remains.

I enjoy this anejo, has a slight caramel and buterscotch under tones with a bourbon barrel spice taste. finish has a mild heat to it and is a pretty smooth tequila with a little bite to it. if you like something a bit different give it a try if you find a bottle.

Tasted at Nicky's Mexican Restaurant in Shreveport, LA in a white wine glass. Nice golden color with orangish pink tones...in this light anyway. Nice smooth nose with minimal alcohol with hints of vanilla and fruit cake. First sip is smooth and has a whiskeyish taste with little to no burn. Overall, very enjoyable with a nice body and flavor similar to the nose. Could be a bit more complex on the finish, but a nice Anejo. B
