1.5 oz Sample from Alex P 6-5-2023 The nose is very pleasant and the more u visit it, the more compex it gets = Citrus, agave, honey, mild mint, floral -chamomile? some fruit - melon? bananas? some minerality/stone, and a little anise Palate - not as much going on as the nose would indicate. but still nice. Some agave and minerality with a little mint, a little heat on finish. Finish is short at first but comes back around with heat that lingers, which is nice. Does have a slightly bitter taste at the end tho. Overall, a nice tequila which I would try again IF it was available, which sadly, it is not.

Sad we can’t get this anymore. They need to make an anniversary addition. From the same distillery as Ocho I believe. Vibrant, cooked agave, smooth, great finish.

Roast agave abounds on the nose and continues from first sip to finish. It has some bitterness at the end which for me holds this back as I prefer a more neutral or slight natural sweetness, especially with as much roast agave as this has on the nose and in great amounts in the mouth. Repeated nosing from a glencairn reveal some floral notes which remind me of carnations. It is the first day of Spring after all. 65th birthday review.

Aroma is relatively light/faint. Distinct vegetal/grassy notes with a slight background sweetness. Noticeable aromas of raw agave - fresh/clean versus sweet/toasted. "Old-school" blanco flavor with noticeable agave and clay/dirt alongside. Overall, very mild in all flavors. Nice, spicy finish is moderate in length.

Aroma: Very light and mellow. There is definite agave but there's also a slight sweet note. At first it was more towards vanilla but after time I start getting cinnamon. Flavor: This reminds me of a very traditional blanco. It's earthy with strong raw agave notes and a bit if clay. My only criticism is that's it's very light and almost feels a little watered down.

Sample from my Tequila God fairy. Nose. Cooked agave. Slight pine with hints of citrus almost lemon grass. Flavour. Cooked agave. Buttery minerality. Copper Finish nice easy finish with only a splash of white pepper and long tingle. It’s been a long time since I tasted this one. Nice walk down memory lane.

What a delicious blanco! Wonderful nose of roasted agave, green grass, honey, citrus. Takes a bit to open up, but when it does, wow. Big roasted agave sweetness up front that gives way to a lovely interplay of serrano, mineral, lime zest, melon. Complex and dances on the tongue. Cool on the palate, with a nice heavy heavy mouthfeel. Exits quickly with more roasted agave.....but then.....wait.....more of that crisp green chili again. You think the finish is gone, but instead it just lingers with a faintittle sparkle. Great stuff. Long out of production, so might be hard to find, but if you come across some at less than secondary mkt prices, buy it all.

Distinctive stuff, let's call it a breakfast tequila! Very light on the palate, but not without flavor, which favors citrus and floral notes over spice. Hard to get now, impossible perhaps, but a worthy and distinctive effort. Reminiscent in texture and body of Alacran.

Not much of a nose. Agave scent and flavor lacking.
