Tasted out of a short stem tasting glass at home. Nice color in glass, good viscosity. I actually preferred this over the reposado. Agave, wood, and chocolate notes with a nicer finish than the lesser aged offerings.

Purchased this for the first time yesterday. It's good but still falls short to Don Julio anejo. Flavor is full bodied and pleasant but not nearly as smooth as DJ. 1800 anejo is just a notch below this and less expensive. For the value, I'd stick with DJ.

Decent tequila. The aroma that hits me is a strange fustyness, probably from the oak. Not a bad tequila but not the best either. Overpowering oak flavour that lingers in the mouth and kills any hint of agave.

My favorite Anejo! I will add that I'm rating the old style bottle, not the new one they changed during their rebranding. I've heard the juice changed dramatically since the rebranding, for the worse. That's why I stocked up on this stuff when I first heard the news! Carmel, vanilla, chocolate, and agave deliciousness! For me, the best $50 spirit I have ever tasted, period!

COLOR: Beautiful golden Amber NOSE: Punch of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and OAK. little to no agave. TASTE: Chocolate, vanilla, caramel and then bam!!! way too much oak. No agave to be found. FINISH: Medium to heavy body, oak oak oak then bitterness overtakes the palate. One of my least favorite Anejo's to date

For 1/3 the price of 1942, this anejo can easily go toe to toe. Extremely smooth sipper with flavors of agave and caramel. 40$ average price makes this an extreme bargain. I will be adding this to my regular rotation.

Good Tequila, a bit over priced. Enjoyed it, definitely flavors & aromas of vanilla,Chocolate & Peppery. The liquid pours out a gentle golden color, both sweet and peppery on the nose. The front end of the 1st sip pops with a bitter but light chocolate flavor, then immediately transitions to sugary caramel and tangy orange peel. None of the flavors are remotely harsh or overpowering. The finish is long but tapers off with light tones of bitterness and vanilla sweetness. Truly Enjoyed it!

Everything about this anejo is just shy of perfect! I'm scared to call it absolutely perfect because then I'd just give up on the search for my favorite tequila. Wish it had a bit more of a presentation style bottle but no complaints on this one!

I love the smell of this spirit! I get a blast of caramel and some vanilla on the nose. The initial taste i get is caramel and cooked agave. This anejo is a winner on so many levels.

Refined finish with a good balance between alcohol and various barrel flavors. A great buy for the money. A lot of vanilla caramel and baking spice with you very oily body. I would highly recommend and we will drink again. Exceptional for the price point.

Just bought this and ... It's a shame and a disaster that they (Casa Noble) use a cork material that stinks and "poison" an otherwise premium quality tequila. It's annoying to realize that the stench of the cork material (or impregnation of the cork) completely makes you hesitate to drink this shit at all.
