Sampled at Total Wine. The La Cofradia funk profile is subdued here by honey and butter notes. Some cooked agave, but not at the forefront. Additives suspected
Overly sweet and no natural flavor profile.
Aroma: Strong aroma of caramel, with vanilla, and oak. Taste: Sweet caramel and vanilla across the palate. Finish: Burst of sweetness on the finish, mixed with a somewhat acrid and unpleasant bitterness on the end that lingers. Overall: In the words of comrade Dyatlov, not great, not terrible.
Sweet, definite additives. Pleasing blanco for those who don’t want pepper, citrus flavors. Not a great spirit. Pretty bottle
Senor Rio tequila is a little different. The marketing force behind it is the founders of the tequila themselves.
