Rated blind after aeration. Not much of a nose. When I drew in very deeply, I was mainly getting alcohol, but there's a hint of pepper and agave if you look for it. It possibly gets better after time in the glass, but definitely mild. Flavor is smooth, with some sweetness and hints of agave and pepper. The finish is mild. A very easy tequila that doesn't challenge any of the senses. I'd put this in the same category as Casamigos or Avion, but a much better price point. I prefer something more bold, but if you're looking for something to hide in a cocktail, this would work. $24 at BevMo. (0.41)
Agave comes through nicely. Buttery finish with nice spice very nice citrus notes.
This has a very thick/oily mouth feel. Aroma is without much character, but the flavor is rich with vanilla and cooked agave. Finish is pretty solid- not perfect, but better than most. I bought this bottle for $29 - a great deal, so it scores high for value.
Generous pour of this not too overly sweet 1466 añejo thanks to Mike Bucca and his hospitality.
